"It was very good, indeed!"

God does not take his creation lightly, in fact, he takes it very seriously. He made you and me in his own image, in the likeness of Jesus, so that he could prepare our hearts for eternity-- an eternity with him. Our souls long to be like Jesus, no matter how far away we are from him.

"Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart."- Ecclesiastes 3:11

If you ever doubt why you're here, take a look at Genesis and how he created you. He not only created the seas and the earth, the birds and the flowers, the lions and the bears, but he created YOU! After every creation and creature he made, he ended it with a "then it was good." But, when he created YOU he ended it with "It was very good."

"Everything having the breath of life in it" - Genesis 1:30

He breathed life into us-- in everything he created. That's amazing. And, guess what? You get to have a personal relationship with him-- the God of the universe who created you. He sent down his only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you and me, so that we may get to live an eternal life with him--that's how much God loves you. Jesus Christ bridged the gap of sin, so that we could live forever with him.

"For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

On the days when you're too weary to get out of bed, remember that. Jesus Christ not only lived a perfect and sinless life, but he decided to follow God's will to die for you so that you could live in eternity with him-- an eternity where every scar will be gone and every tear will be wiped away. You won't have to suffer anymore with your deep sorrow, your raging anger, your jealous thoughts, but instead you will be perfect. Just like Jesus.
