"For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

On the days when you're too weary to get out of bed, remember that. Jesus Christ not only lived a perfect and sinless life, but he decided to follow God's will to die for you so that you could live in eternity with him-- an eternity where every scar will be gone and every tear will be wiped away. You won't have to suffer anymore with your deep sorrow, your raging anger, your jealous thoughts, but instead you will be perfect. Just like Jesus.

I remember reading this verse at the lowest point of my life. In fact, I truly believe that God put this verse on my heart, because I remember seeking it out and looking it up in my Bible on the loneliest nights, where all I wanted was a way out of this pain. This silent pain was eating me alive and I didn't know how else to escape it besides the worst option possible-- ending my life. On those endless days and nights of pain, I tried to find anyway possible to get me out of this feeling; I reached out to friends to try if they could take away the pain, I was mean to my closest circle, and I then eventually started isolating because it felt like everyone was tired of hearing the same words over and over again-- "I feel suicidal." It felt like anywhere I went, I brought down the mood because I was so numb and didn't enjoy what I was doing anymore. It was just a lose-lose situation everywhere I walked. I couldn't win.

But, we aren't meant to win-- Jesus is. Jesus already won this war that we have to fight. Even when it's the worst pain you could ever imagine-- the silent pain of your crippling depression, your non-stop anxiety, or whatever it may be, Jesus already won the war and there is hope in that. We get to live in freedom because of Him and what He did for us.

Notice that it says "he ascended." This clearly means that Christ also descended to our lowly world. And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all of the heavens, so that he night fill the entire universe with himself.- Ephesians 4: 9-10

So, with all of this being said, I encourage you to bring your weary heart to Christ's heart, because He will win this battle for you-- He already did. And, because He lives, we can face tomorrow.
